Multi Me supports individuals to develop, express, and strengthen their voice through a process of multimedia advocacy, person-centred planning, and discovery.

Using photos, video, audio, and simple, accessible tools, individuals can capture their experiences, explore who they are, and communicate their needs—in ways that go far beyond written words.

From expression to discovery

For many individuals, particularly those with learning disabilities or communication differences, a “voice” is not just expressed—it is built over time through being listened to, understood, and supported by the people around them—made possible through effective communication tools.

Multi Me supports a process of person-centred discovery, helping individuals to:

  • Explore identity and preferences – understanding what matters to them and how they want to live their life

  • Build confidence in communication – finding ways to express themselves that feel natural and empowering

  • Reflect on experiences – using real-life moments to shape future choices and goals

  • Contribute to their own planning – playing an active role in reviews, support plans, and decision-making

A more inclusive way to communicate

Traditional written systems can exclude or limit participation. Multi Me provides an inclusive, visual-first approach that supports:

  • Self-expression and choice – supporting the individual’s views, wishes, feelings, and beliefs, in line with the well-being principles of the Care Act.

  • Stronger communication – helping families, staff and professionals better understand the individual

  • Memory and continuity – capturing everyday experiences to support wellbeing and transitions

  • Literacy and digital skills – combining images, audio and text to build confidence over time

One shared story—no repetition

Multi Me creates a living, evolving “About Me”, shaped through ongoing discovery and shared with the individual’s Circle of Support.

  • Places the individual’s voice at the centre of their support network

  • Provides a shared online resource—reducing the need for parents, carers, and professionals to repeat information

  • Supports joined-up, person-centred planning across education, health and social care

Real impact in practice

Multi Me becomes part of how services listen, understand, and plan alongside the individual.

Building confidence, connection and identity

Through sharing their voice and being heard, individuals begin to connect, belong, and grow in confidence.

Supporting person-centred outcomes

By embedding multimedia advocacy and discovery into everyday practice, Multi Me helps services to:

  • Deliver genuine, co-produced, person-centred planning and support

  • Evidence progress, outcomes, and lived experience

  • Strengthen collaboration across the Circle of Support

  • Align with standards such as PRSB “About Me”
